Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus expressed her condolences following the devastating earthquake in Asia

Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus expressed her condolences to Nepalese Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and to other countries in the region following the powerful earthquake, as a result which more than 1,100 people have reportedly died.

“My deepest condolences to those close to the deceased and to everyone affected by this terrible natural disaster,” Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus said. “We are thinking of you during this difficult time,” she added.

According to the most recent information, the powerful earthquake killed more than 1,100 people in Nepal and 36 people in India. The earthquake’s epicentre was located 80 km northwest of the Nepalese capital Kathmandu. The densely populated Kathmandu valley is home to approximately 2.5 million people.
